1938년 뉴욕주 커밍시에서 태어나 에리조나주 휘닉스에서 정착한 전기기타의 걸물, 듀언 에디는 비틀스를 탄생하게 하는데 일조를 했다고 할만큼 그 음악적 영향력이 대단했던 인물이다. 특히 강렬하고 맵시있는 비트로 묘미를 느끼게 하는 그의 독특한 전기기타 연주법은 "Twangin'"기타주법이라 불리우며 벤춰 스와 함께 수많은 기타 연주가와 락 그룹들에게 영향을 주었다.
